Membership
As a member of the Alberta Triathlon Association, not only will you
enjoy the numerous benefits membership offers but you will also be
supporting the development and improvement of the quality of races,
programs, and services for Alberta's multi-sport athletes, as well as
helping to cover the cost of disability and accident insurance,
administration services and expenses, and transition production.
How do I determine what membership I need?
Ages are determined as
of DECEMBER 31 of the current year of competition.
$35.00 – for Annual Adult Members beginning at the age of 20 years old. Members in clubs affiliated to ATA may receive a $5.00 refund or discount to their Affiliated Club. (Club Leaders will advise the member if it is a discount or refund via the club, no instant ATA rebate is given)
$20.00 – for Adult Day Members at all ATA sanctioned events.
$10.00 – for Annual Adult individual Team Members beginning at the age of 20 years old, where NO club discount be offered to this individuals.
$20.00 – for Adult Day Membership for Teams, where a discount of $5.00 may be applied per ATA member participating on the team.
$ 5.00 – for Annual Youth ATA Memberships 19 years old and younger, no day fee is allowed for residents of Alberta.
In addition the ATA recognizes that Provincial affiliates annual members may participate in ATA sanctioned events Day Member Fee free, but all non-affiliated non-Albertans are required to pay a day fee that equal $20.00 per Adult and $5.00 per Youth.
Racing Up
Athletes MUST race in their respective age divisions; no athlete
under the age of 18 is permitted to race in a “higher” or “older” age
division.

**ACKOWLEGEMENT OF RISK I acknowledge that participation in the sport
of triathlon might result in personal injury to myself due to the
endurance nature of the sport and the inherent risks associated with
swimming, biking and running, especially on public roads. I accept
these risks. In consideration of my participation in Alberta Triathlon
Association sanctioned event and training, I agree that the Alberta
Triathlon Association's directors, officers, employees, coaches,
volunteers, members, and agents shall not be liable for any personal
injury or loss I might suffer from any such participation, unless such
loss shall be caused by the negligence of any one or more of the
above-named whilst acting within the scope of their duties.
